LDS Ward buildings are being used to shelter people of all faiths displaced by the fires burning in Northern California. People are sleeping on the classroom floors and eating together in the cultural hall.

“You have your private moments when you are very affected,” said Graham Emmel.
“I can’t describe the loss. It still feels like a dream. I feel like I should be able to get in my car and go home,” he said
You say, stuff is stuff, but there are things we were really attached to,” said Allan Darrimon.
“One minute you are home, and the next minute you are in a shelter,” he said.
Lynda Oneto is an evacuee also staying at the Stony Point Ward’s meeting house in Santa Rosa.
“I’m not a member of the Church, and I am completely blown away by the cooperation and the humanity that was shown to me,” she said.
