SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Utah Lt Gov Spencer Cox took another swipe at President Trump Wednesday night, while saying it’s time to expect more from everyone.

Cox says the country is suffering from the soft bigotry of low expectations, and it’s time to expect more from ourselves and our fellow human beings, included our elected leaders and their twitter accounts.

He said President Trump’s tweeting has made him less fearful that the governor will scrutinize his own tweets.

His comments came as he accepted the humanitarian of the year award from Catholic Community Services of Utah.

Cox also talked about Operation Rio Grande, saying it’s fair to expect those living on the street to obey laws and follow rules.
