Business leaders want to get to a goal of zero red air days along the Wasatch Front.

The Salt Lake Chamber is encouraging more businesses to do more to clear the air, during times of trapped inversion in between winter storms.

They have challenges and competitions going for companies to find more ways especially to focus on the number one source of emissions – cars.

This can be through more mass transit passes, carpool programs, or tele-commuting.

The good news is that each year our number of red air days decreases. In Salt Lake County for example there were 35 red air days in 2012, last year there were 18.
