SALT LAKE CITY — A bill that would modify Utah traffic code to permit automated personal delivery robots to roam sidewalks advanced through a House committee by a unanimous vote Wednesday.
HB 217 would allow the small motorized devices where pedestrians are allowed, basically to make deliveries within a mile or mile and a half radius.
The personal delivery robots are being used in Europe right now, primarily for pizza and packages. But they think they could also be ideal to deliver medicine as well.
