SOUTH JORDAN – Drugs, cash and guns were seized from a home in a Daybreak neighborhood in a major drug bust that lands four people behind bars.

A nice, quiet neighborhood two blocks away from a school.  Nearby residents like Arnold Lingwall say it seems like a perfect cover.  “I suppose if you’re going to do something like that, this would be a great neighborhood to do that,” Lingwall says.

The activity started before 8 a.m., according to Lingwall.  He says unmarked cars were lined up along Indigo Sky Way after officers went inside. He says, “About 15 very armed DEA agents came out of the home and they were replaced by a bunch of different agents with rubber gloves on.”

Investigators this small home was the center of a large operation.  Brian Besser, District Agent In Charge of the DEA, says, “We’re talking about a drug trafficking organization that’s suspected of producing counterfeit Oxycodone and Alprazolam (Xanax) pills, as well as cultivating bulk amounts of high grade marijuana.”

The drug ring had a remarkably long reach, according to Besser.  “This investigation involves individuals we are looking at here and in other states,” he says.

So far, agents don’t know how many pills were taken from the house.  Besser says operations like this one can produce thousands, if not tens of thousands of pills.
