Footprints, tracks all through new sidewalks in Springdale, Utah

They covered the sidewalks and put up caution tape, but you can still see long bicycle tracks and plenty of footprints right across the new concrete in Springdale.

The mayor says now they have to go back through and tear it up and redo the sidewalks to get rid of the prints.

He tells the St George News it’s a big cost to fix.

It also means delaying a road project of State Route 9, alongside the sidewalk.

It’s is just outside Zion national park, and some residents blame the tourists.

The mayor says anyone who witnesses someone vandalize the sidewalks or going around the signs and barricades should report it. They could be held responsible for the cost.
