SALT LAKE  CITY – President Donald Trump announced “precision strike” against Syria following last week’s suspected chemical weapons attack in Douma, Syria.

He also said France and the United Kingdom will be carrying out the attack along with the U.S.

“The purpose of our actions tonight is to establish a strong deterrent against the production, spread and use of chemical weapons,” Trump said.

He also described Assad’s government as a “very terrible regime”. Trump also made comparisons to World War I with Syria and chemical weapons saying a lot of anguish and evil was unleashed.

The Associated Press reported loud explosions lit up the sky over Syrian capital along with heavy smoke after the announcement. We will update the story as more information becomes available.
