PLYMOUTH, Box Elder County — Utah Jazz tickets are the center of a dispute in one small Utah town.
A state audit found Plymouth gave out $684 in basketball tickets as bonuses to town employees. Each taxpayer in the tiny town of about 400 people spent about $1.50 on that bill.
Utah Auditor John Dougall found 11 transactions worth more than $14,000 lacked proper documentation, and six checks worth about $5,000 were not properly signed.
Plymouth also doesn’t post enough public notices and written policies, the audit found.
Mayor Curtis Murray agrees with the audit’s findings and says the town is already making changes.
