SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz are going into Game 4 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a lot of momentum and excitement.

The crowd is expected to be a big, loud factor again tonight, after filling Vivint Arena with noise during Game 3 on Saturday night.

That game got a lot of attention — not just for Ricky Rubio’s triple-double and the performances of the other Jazz players, but for how the crowd got into it.

The ESPN broadcast crew commented on it more than once, and there were several tweets from inside the arena about the noise and energy.

“Unbelievable crowd tonight,” Thunder beat writer Fred Katz said on Twitter. “One of the best I’ve ever experienced.”

Bleacher Report’s Ric Bucher said he felt his bell was rung, and called Vivint Smart Home Arena “not one of — the loudest” NBA arenas.

Jazz coach Quin Snyder said the crowd “hit a new high.”

“It has an impact,” Snyder said. “I think it has an impact on our players.”

With a win in Game 4 Monday night, the Jazz can take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.
