PROVO — A summer fun destination is filing for bankruptcy amidst financial and managerial problems.

Seven Peaks Water Park Provo’s new ownership hasn’t created a new management team, and was losing affiliation with the chain.

It’s also embroiled in a lawsuit with nearby condos that’s hurting its ability to open.

The Provo location was already excluded from the “Pass of all Passes” that granted access to Seven Peaks locations in Lehi and west Salt Lake.

So Parkprovo LLC filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Provo’s deputy mayor called Seven Peaks an institution in his city, and hopes all of the problems will be resolved.
