SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz are a couple of days into NBA free agency, and it sure looks like they are trying to keep things the way they are.

The Utah Jazz came to a contract agreement with power forward Derrick Favors Monday. They agreed to a 2 year deal worth up to $37 million.

The Utah Jazz met with Derrick Favors for three hours on Sunday. It was reported he had his agent speak with other teams before ultimately deciding to re-sign with the Jazz Monday.

The Jazz also met with Thabo Sefolosha and announced that he’ll be staying. Restricted free agents Dante Exum and Raul Neto are also high on the Jazz’s offseason radar.

Meanwhile, the Jazz Summer League starts Monday at 7 pm at Vivint Smarthome Arena, and the team features names like Tony Bradley, Erik McCree, Georges Niang and Grayson Allen.

Allen talked after practice last week about what he wants to get out of this.

“It’s going to be my first time really playing an NBA style game with all the small differences that are in the NBA game from the college game,” Allen said. “It’ll be my first time wearing the Jazz uniform, so that’s going to be awesome for me to put a new name across my chest and represent a new team and learn the Jazz way … learn how they want us to play.”

Jazz play the Spurs Monday night, then it’s Memphis and Atlanta tomorrow and Thursday. Then they go to Las Vegas for the NBA Summer league.

We want to hear from you.
