BOX ELDER COUNTY — Another wildfire has begun burning through Utah, this time on the Utah-Nevada border quickly spread to 20,000 acres and endangering 2 ranches, as well as closing SR-30.

The fire originated on Saturday, July 28th approximately around 11:25 am and roughly 13 miles southwest of Grouse Creek, Utah.

Nevada Fire Cameras posted a tweet including a video showing the scale of the fire, which is currently sitting at 0% containment.

Officials also state that extreme heat and excessive brush and timber are contributing to the high spread rates and extreme fire behavior.

The fire is expected to continue moving east and southeast where it is threatening 2 ranches that are located along the Grouse Creek Valley Road, as well as hitting State Hwy 30.

Road closures are currently implemented near Montello and Lucin at MP 9, with both lanes being affected.
