SALT LAKE CITY — A new study finds Utahns work fewer paid hours per week than people in any other state. Perhaps there’s an upside.
U.S. Census data show Utah employees spend 37.3 hours working per week, which means 40.6 hours for men, and 33.2 hours for women.
The data provided by Business.org argued “that women are simply working smarter, not longer, than their male counterparts, and that everybody should establish a work-life balance.”
Alaskans averaged the highest number of hours per week at 41.6, and other top-seven states are heavy crude oil producers.
Business.org adds that everyone should “take advantage of their vacation days as often as possible. Burnout is no badge of honor.”
