I fully acknowledge the gravity of the #metoo movement, but I worry that people don’t realize the weight of allegations and how they can easily destroy careers and lives.
I’ve personally been falsely accused of being an ageist. I was fired from a job where I was a manager and I gave a verbal warning to one of my employees. The company didn’t take the time to investigate the claim; instead, they fired me on the spot.
We cannot let these false allegations rule these people’s lives.
