A new survey finds three quarters of “Generation Z” — the young adults from age 18 to early 20s who come after the “millennial” generation — say thoughts of mass or school shootings cause them high stress.

That percentage is about 60% among “Generation X” and baby boomers.

The American Psychological Association’s yearly Stress in America survey also found separation and deportation of immigrant and migrant families also cause young adults grief.

They’re also the most likely to seek counseling and medical treatment for their stress.
