WEST JORDAN — On the day after Halloween, a West Jordan man dressed as a Walmart worker and went on a crime spree, according to the West Jordan Police Department.
A real Walmart employee spotted the imposter early Thursday morning.
“This man, who was posing as an employee, was out in one of the storage containers in his Walmart vest,” said Sgt. J.C. Holt.
He adds the suspect, Nicholas McDonald, 27, stabbed the man and stole two cases of beer.
Holt says McDonald led police on high-speed chases from Jordan Landing, to Midvale, and back to West Jordan.
“He, of all places, after the vehicle was spiked, decided to drive to his residence where he was arrested,” Holt said.
That’s 6200 South 3800 West. McDonald faces charges of aggravated assault, DUI, evading police, and more.
Holt says all of the stolen beer was returned to the Walmart. The man who was stabbed is expected to recover from his wound near his shoulder.
