SALT LAKE CITY — She may be one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but one Utah doctor is taking Gwyneth Paltrow to court, claiming she crashed into him on the ski slopes, then left the scene.

Doctor Terry Sanderson says he can’t remember much after the collision that happened on the slopes of Deer Valley in 2016.  However, he can remember the few seconds before it.

“I heard this hysterical scream that you never hear on a ski run.  I’ve never heard it, in my life.  It was like King Kong came out of the jungle,” according to Sanderson.

He says he can remember images of being face down in the snow and not having control over his arms.  After that, he says he didn’t have full control of his faculties.  Since then, he believes Paltrow’s people have been twisting the truth of what happened.

He adds, “I’m tired of having to relive these circumstances.”

Sanderson’s attorney, Robert Sykes, has also named a ski instructor in the lawsuit, claiming the instructor didn’t witness the collision, but, still blamed Sanderson for the crash and gave false information to investigators about what happened.

“He berated the injured person with four broken ribs and lying senseless on the snow for ‘taking out Gwyneth Paltrow,’” he says.

Now, Sykes says they’ve found an eyewitness who will testify that Sanderson was the “downhill skier,” thus making Paltrow responsible for the crash.

Sykes says, “Gwyneth Paltrow knew it was wrong to slam into Doctor Sanderson’s back, knocking him down, landing on top of him, knocking him out and then leave the scene of the ski crash she caused, but she did it anyway.”

The lawsuit is looking for $3.1 million in damages.

A representative from Paltrow’s company, Goop, issued a statement saying, “This lawsuit is completely without merit. Anyone who reads the facts will realize that.”
