“When a 3rd grade student in Lehi inadvertently left his bicycle at school overnight, he returned the next morning to find it vandalized, broken, and completely useless. The situation broke the
hearts of the staff members. They were at a complete loss to find out how it happened.

They turned to the surveillance video for clues. Sadly, the incident happened in the dark. The figures who repeatedly threw the bike against the school until it was mangled were unidentifiable. The staff called the Lehi Police Department, hoping they could help find the culprits.

The police officer was full of sympathy for the situation, but told them there was little they could do without knowing who vandalized the bike. Within just a few minutes, the officer returned back to the school, explaining that they wanted to buy this boy a new bicycle. He, along with 6-7 other officers at the Lehi Police Department, pooled their money together, bought a new bike, and presented it to him.

These community heroes proved themselves as true heroes. They showed kindness, generosity, and love beyond what is required when wearing the badge.

Thank you Lehi Police Department, Officer Crosby, and the other officers for helping this boy, his family, and the staff at the elementary school begin the Christmas season with warmth in our hearts for the kindness you’ve shown!”
