A wish reaches far beyond a single event or moment in time. A wish improves a child’s state of mind, replacing fear with happiness. Make-A-Wish Utah grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Wishes inspire and have many benefits. A wish empowers children with life-threatening medical conditions to fight harder against their illnesses. A wish can improve that child’s physical and emotional health. Parents and medical professionals describe the wish experience as a frequent turning point in the child’s battle for health.
To qualify for a wish, children must be diagnosed with a degenerative, progressive, or malignant life-threatening illness, and be over the age of 2 ½ and under the age of 18 at the time of referral.
To help support Utah’s Wish Kids, join them at the Evening of Wishes Gala on April 9th at the Grand America Hotel. For event details and reservations, visit their website utah.wish.org.
SelectHealth recognizes the life-changing experiences made possible by Make-A-Wish Utah as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
