The People’s Health Clinic is a volunteer-driven nonprofit clinic that provides medical services to uninsured residents of Summit and Wasatch counties. It’s funded by donations by local residents, businesses, churches, and governments. Patients are asked to donate $20 per visit, but whatever they can give is welcome. No one is turned away because of inability to pay.
This is a clinic served by the people of our community for the people of our community. Most of the doctors, medical providers, and other clinic workers are volunteers from the area. Last year, these volunteers donated over 5,800 hours of their time to clinic patients.
The People’s Health Clinic offers general medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, mental health, and many specialties. They do not provide emergency or urgent care. The clinic also helps with referrals to diagnostic testing, free screening mammograms for women over 40, referrals to social services, and assistance applying for health insurance.
SelectHealth recognizes the community care provided by the People’s Health Clinic as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
