Where can you find a 152-acre nature preserve in the heart of the city? The Ogden Nature Center provides a place where people can enjoy and learn about the natural world. They strive to help everyone discover the pleasure of being in nature and realize their own connection to the environment.
Education is their focus. Each year they bring children, teachers, and adults together with nature through events and hands-on field classes to observe and learn about plants and animals up-close.
The Ogden Nature Center is open to the public, and visitors enjoy meeting birds and many native animal species. Outside, there are picnic areas, treehouses, ponds, bird blinds, and a mile and a half of walking trails. They offer programs for all ages including art, photography, wildlife, and conservation. Annual events include summer camps, an Earth Day Celebration, a 5K, concerts, and Creatures of the Night at Halloween.
SelectHealth recognizes the environmental connection provided by the Ogden Nature Center as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
