UTAH GIVES BACK

Columbus Community Center

Dec 5, 2016, 7:52 AM | Updated: Aug 4, 2022, 11:08 am

The Columbus Community Center provides support services for more than 300 individuals with disabilities in the Salt Lake Valley every year. Their services allow individuals to be employed and participate in our community.
Every person with disabilities is unique and has the right to develop to his or her full potential. The Center provides support services for adults ages 16 to retirement through three program areas: vocational training and employment services; a day activity program; and residential housing services.
Individuals with disabilities are often faced with overwhelming obstacles to community integration. The Columbus Community Center provides opportunities for them to make informed choices, working one-on-one with each person to determine the support and assistance they may need. After nearly five decades of serving thousands of individuals, they are still finding innovative ways to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities and support them through their journey to independence.
SelectHealth recognizes the personal opportunities provided by the Columbus Community Center as another example of how Utah Gives Back.

We want to hear from you.
