Through Moab Valley Multicultural Center’s Crisis Resource and Advocacy Program, they serve the essential and critical needs of individuals and families, offering them a safe place to turn when a crisis threatens their livelihood, quality of life, or survival.
Their vision is for a community where everyone—regardless of their economic position or cultural background—has resources and advocates when they find themselves in crisis. Moab Valley Multicultural Center provides bilingual counseling, referrals, and aid to those facing serious issues, such as medical emergencies, domestic crises, workplace challenges, food and housing insecurity.
Crisis looks different for many people, but it is never a situation that clients have envisioned for themselves, and when clients seek help they are often at one of their lowest points. Demand for the Crisis Resource and Advocacy Program is escalating as Moab experiences rapid growth in immigrant and refugee populations, among whom language and culture are often barriers.
SelectHealth recognizes the community care provided by the Moab Valley Multicultural Center as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
