Tabitha’s Way is a not for profit local food pantry. They believe that no person should be food insecure. Through their two food pantries in Spanish and American Fork, they feed over 5,000 individuals every month, half of which are children. The operations are 100% privately funded by generous donations.
Utah County has more than 76,000 individuals that are at or below the poverty line and an estimated 100,000 individuals that are food insecure. Wanting to help those in need in our local communities, Wendy Osborne left her career in 2010 after reading about a charitable woman in the bible named Tabitha.
Wendy, along with Tabitha’s Way north pantry co-founders Al Switzler and Mike Carter, believe that No Hunger Zones can be established to make sure that no one goes hungry. Neighbors helping neighbors is their motto. They couldn’t exist without the wonderful support of the community and the donations received from individuals and local markets.
SelectHealth recognizes the economic impact provided by Tabitha’s Way as
another example of how Utah Gives Back.
