Every day, all over the world, people make one of the most difficult decisions in their lives: to leave their homes in search of a safe and better life. Some people leave to get a job or education, others are forced to flee because of persecution or human rights violations. Once they leave, they need a place of refuge. Utah Community & Refugee Partnership Center, in Utah County, hopes to be that place of safety and acceptance by providing the education, orientation, and support refugees need to become self-sufficient members of society.

The services provided address education, medical and health insurance, employment, and immigration services. They believe that learning these skills is the key to ending poverty and is a lasting solution, so refugees can provide for their families and build a new life.

To get involved you can donate, host a family, or provide in-kind donations by visiting UtahRefugees.org.

SelectHealth recognizes the sustainable solution provided by the Utah Community & Refugee Partnership Center as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
