OPINION: What do these video shares say about us?

The internet never fails to show the dark side of humanity.
After the tragic death of 51 innocent lives from a radical terrorist in Christchurch, New Zealand, Facebook had the terrible responsibility to remove 1.5 million videos showing the carnage.
The real issue is the people who tried to share this video — all 1.5 million of them — and that’s just on Facebook alone.
I, personally, haven’t watched the video. I don’t plan on watching the video. The idea that people want to watch and share this violent video is inhuman and barbaric.
I am at a loss of words. This was a mass murder. Innocent people lost their lives.
I think it’s pretty incredible Facebook was able to stop most of the videos before they were even uploaded onto the site. But should that even be their responsibility? Is there no humanity?
