SALT LAKE CITY — Winter storm warnings and watches are in effect through Thursday morning.

After one of the first days in the 70’s on Monday, Utah and most of Midwest are expecting another large late spring storm. Here in the Beehive State, it looks like there will be more rain than snow for most people, but there could still be an inch of snow possible for the valleys and it only goes up the higher you go.

There’s 3 to 5 inches possible for the benches, and 6 to 14 inches in the forecast for the mountains.

There’s also a high wind warning, with gusts possible over 50 miles per hour.  All these warnings and advisories last until 10 am Thursday.

Hydrologists say the snowpack is already at 140 percent, and this storm will add to that. But it also adds to the higher chance of flooding later this year.
