Magnitude 4.0 earthquake hits Bloom, Utah

CEDAR CITY, Utah — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake hit a small town in southwestern Utah last night, according the US Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck just south of Bloom, Utah shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, the USGS said. The earthquake had an epicenter about 11 miles (18 kilometers) and a depth of a little less than 1.8 miles (3 kilometers).
The quake’s epicenter was about 77 miles north of Cedar City, a community of about 32,000 people.
The USGS also recorded two aftershocks in Millard County Saturday evening, clocking in at magnitudes of 2.9 and 2.7, respectively.
So far, no one in Millard County has reported any damages.
