SAN JOSE – The family of a Utah tech company CEO Erin Valenti say this is not like her.

The CEO of Utah-based app developer Tinker Ventures was in Northern California for the Women Tech Awards, where she was scheduled to receive an award for Entrepreneurial Excellence on Wednesday. She never made it to the ceremony, and she never told the organizers she could not come.

In fact, Valenti has not been heard from since Monday night.

After she drove from Palo Alto to San Jose, she called her husband. But her phone has been turned off since then, which her family says is unusual.

They also say it’s unlike her not to communicate with them for this long.

That’s why her husband, Harrison Weinstein, has posted to social media to try and find her.

The San Jose Police Department is treating Valenti’s disappearance as a voluntary missing persons case at this time because there is no evidence of foul play.

Valenti is described as 5’4″ tall, blonde, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with ripped jeans. She was driving a gray, Nissan Murano rental car with a California license plate number 8LUD641.
