CENTERVILLE, Utah — Authorities say a significant water main break near 1650 N. Main Street in Centerville will likely leave water off to some nearby residents through Friday morning.  Centerville Police tweeted news of the break about 5:50 p.m. Thursday evening.  Investigators say water service to about ten homes was interrupted while crews worked along the severely buckled section of roadway.

Public works director, Randy Randall, says the break was likely due to aging pipes and the rocky soil in which those pipes were sitting.  A similar break happened in July a few blocks away.  Police say crews are expected to remain out in the area working on the break on Friday.  Water service was expected to be restored at some point on Friday morning.
