Matheson JHS on precautionary lockdown

MAGNA, Utah — The Granite School district is saying that Matheson Jr. High School in Magna was placed on lockdown protocol Tuesday morning that was initiated by police after reports of a suspicious person on the campus.
The district says there was no threat made and that the protocol was initiated as a precautionary measure and was lifted later Monday morning without incident.

UPDATE: The protocol at Matheson has been lifted and school is proceeding as normal at this time.

They are asking that parents not call or come to the school and was searched to ensure student safety.
