The state of Utah has issued several hundred film permits in 2019. The Utah Film Commission says that made for a busy year. Nearly two dozen productions received film incentives, including for feature films, television series and documentaries. Among the productions filmed in Utah this year are Disney’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” which will film a second season in the state in 2020. Two films shot in Utah will premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The Utah Film Commission says productions across the state created more than 1,500 local jobs.
