Jordan School District coronavirus preps detailed in email to parents

SALT LAKE COUNTY– Jordan School District is working with the Salt Lake County Health Department to help prevent the spread of coronavirus, even before it becomes a problem in Utah.

The school district sent an e-mail to parents outlining steps the district plans on taking to combat COVID-19.

Teachers will be reviewing proper hand-washing techniques with students and the district is stocking up on cleaning supplies. Online training will become available if needed.

Additionally, the district included additional plans it would take if COVID-19 spreads. These measures include enhanced custodial procedures, online schooling, and adjusting or canceling school activities.

Jordan School District will make decisions based on the recommendations of the State and County Health Departments, along with the CDC.

The district stressed student safety is their top priority.Β  Jordan School District said they will keep members of the community updated on their response to coronavirus.
