PROVO, Utah — BYU will be offering all of its classes for the 2020 spring term through remote instruction only.
In a release from the university on Tuesday, Brigham Young University President Kevin J. Worthen says he has been incredibly grateful for the effort done by all who have made the shift online.
“I offer my heartfelt thanks to the many individuals within our campus community who have worked tirelessly to help make this major shift to remote coursework go smoothly, especially the many faculty members who have had to make extensive adjustments and adaptations to their classes to continue to provide our students an outstanding education under these new circumstances.
“My thanks also to our students for their patience and fortitude through this transition and the many changes associated with it,” Worthen said.
The school says that the shift will look similar to the one made at the end of the winter semester, where most classes will be delivered through online platforms like Zoom.
On-campus housing will continue to be available for students who need it, BYU said, but they encourage all students who are enrolled in the spring term to consider returning or staying home.
