SALT LAKE CITY — A TSA agent working at the Salt Lake City International Airport has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement to KSL NewsRadio, TSA spokesperson Lori Dankers says the individual worked “in the security checkpoint at Terminal 1 with an assigned shift of 4 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The officer was last at work on Tuesday, March 24.”

The TSA has created a public website that lists where any employee has tested positive for the Coronavirus. It can be accessed here: www.tsa.gov/coronavirus

The website also has the last shift the TSA agent worked.

Further details about the employee or where they may have caught the Coronavirus have not been released.

Salt Lake City International Airport spokeswoman Nancy Volmer says the airport did a deep clean of the security checkpoint and any area in the airport where the TSA agent was.

The airport has stepped up its cleaning and sanitizing since the Coronavirus pandemic started.

Anyone who came into contact with the person been asked to self-quarantine.

Travelers or others who are worried about being exposed to the Coronavirus are being encouraged to call their doctors.
