Utah counts nearly 100 new COVID-19 cases on Easter Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah health officials say the state’s COVID-19 case count is at 2,303 as of Easter Sunday, an increase of 97 from the day before.

The Utah Department of Health releases updated numbers around lunchtime each day. So far, clinics and hospitals have tested 44,234 people in Utah. About five percent of those tested returned positive result.

The state did not record any new deaths since Saturday.
