Two dead in West Jordan homicide, suspect sought (updated)

WEST JORDAN — Police say they continue to search for a suspect after a double homicide that left two dead in West Jordan.
According to police, the victims are a husband and wife. They believe whoever shot and killed them forced his or her way into the home near 3200 W. 6920 S. around 1 a.m.
Updated information:
The victims have been identified by the West Jordan Police Department as Tony (31) and Katherine Butterfield (30).
West Jordan Police Department said the investigation continues and they are working hard to solve the crime.

Police initially responded to the area on a call about possible gunshots. They found three children under the age of four inside, but unhurt.
There was no immediate word on a motive or other details available.
