Utah reports more than 4,000 COVID cases, no new deaths

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Updated numbers from the Utah Department of Health show 4,123 total confirmed COVID cases in the state — roughly a 4% increase from Saturday. Utah’s numbers has now surpassed 4,000 cases, with 175 more cases than what was recorded mid-weekend.

Utah’s rate of of positive cases is now 4.3% of total tested, which is a drop from 5.21% recorded two weeks ago on April 12.

The state reports 345 cumulative hospitalizations since the outbreak in mid-March, which is an increase of 16 from Saturday. There are no new deaths reported.

The state has tested a total of 95,702 people for the new coronavirus — which is 5,496 more tests from Saturday.
