Many of us are staying home amid the COVID-19 pandemic as others go to work to provide medical care or keep the grocery stores stocked. GREENbike, Salt Lake City’s non-profit bike share system, is available to help you stay safe and active when making essential trips. They are also offering a one cent annual membership to all essential workers.

With many people working and staying close to home, Salt Lake City’s bike lanes, sidewalks, and public spaces are unusually crowded. Mayor Erin Mendenhall announced Salt Lake City will temporarily open some streets to pedestrian and bicycle traffic to allow people to recreate at a safe distance from one another.

Biking is a great way to stay healthy, support local, and take advantage of the great weather. GREENbike is doing their part by cleaning each bike and station kiosks to keep you safe. To learn more, visit GREEN bike SLC dot org that’s GREEN bike SLC dot org.
