National parks are re-opening this month and Utah’s most popular, Zion National Park, will re-open Wednesday.

Zion National Park will open Wednesday, but the park says that many services won’t be available.

Zion says that shuttle and visitors center will remain closed for now and that hiking areas that require a permit, such as Kolob Canyons, will remain closed as well.

Arches and Canyonlands will not open until after Memorial Day, on May 29.  Trails, restrooms and roads will be open to the public immediately, but stores, visitor’s centers and campgrounds will remain closed.

Park workers who come in from out of state will be subject to a 14-day quarantine before they can show up for work.  Services will resume on a phased-in basis throughout the summer.
