Today, June 25, SelectHealth will be highlighting organizations throughout Utah that make a difference in our community as part of Utah Gives Back day. While quarantine makes gathering in person difficult, there are still many ways to give back and serve in our local community.

Hope Squad

School-based peer to peer suicide prevention program, based in Provo and implemented in schools across the United States.

Food Bank

Founded in 1904, Utah Food Bank has operated under various names but has always remained true to our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide. 374,000 Utahns, which equates to 1 in 8 individuals, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 7 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from. With your support last year, we distributed 45.7 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 38 million meals, to people facing hunger across the state.

Granite Education Foundation

In a district with an astounding number of children living in poverty, we work with individuals, community leaders and businesses to provide opportunities for all students, and their dedicated educators.

UHPP

Utah Health Policy Project (UHPP) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization advancing sustainable health care solutions for underserved Utahns through better access, education, and public policy.

Suazo Business Center

Suazo Business Center is a business resource committed to the development and empowerment of the Latino/Hispanic and other underserved communities. We provide assistance to help existing and potential minority entrepreneurs succeed and build wealth.
