SALT LAKE CITY — A second fire has been reported by Utah Fire Info, and this one includes mandatory evacuations for the west side of the city of Veyo in western Washington County. Veyo is on the edge of the Dixie National Forest.

Early Monday evening, the Veyo West Fire was estimated to be 50 acres. Fire officials say the fire is threatening the west side of Veyo and that evacuations were ordered for that portion of the small town.

There are also road closures in place for secondary roads west of highway 18 and north of gun lock road.

Utah Fire Info says that additional air and ground resources have been ordered and are responding to the Veyo West fire.
