EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah — Officials report the Soldier Fire — which started around 5 p.m. Saturday — is at 90% containment as of 8 p.m., estimating it will be completely contained by midnight. Authorities say the fire was human-caused, ignited by a utility vehicle.
As of 8 p.m., the fire has burned 396 acres and deemed a threat to nearby structures. It’s unclear whether evacuations have been issued.
