SALT LAKE CITY — Google the score of the Utah Jazz game Saturday night and the information that pops up, provided by the NBA, will tell you when the game was, the score (the Jazz lost 116-111), and that the game  had “limited in-person attendance.”

The loss? Not so great. But 1,500 fans back in the seats at Vivint? For some, that was the best part of the night.

KSL TV reporter Tanya Dean said that fans were smiling as they left for the night, just as they were smiling heading into the arena for the game.

One fan told KSL TV it felt like a light at the end of a tunnel, another said the game helped her feel like things were getting back to normal.

That being said, fans at Vivant on Saturday night were required to wear masks and remain socially distanced from those outside their family or group.

And a 30-foot distance separated fans from the floor of the arena. No floor seats for this game.
