SALT LAKE CITY — Officials from the Southwest Utah Health Department say they understand the concern of those residents who are trying, and failing, to sign up for an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

And they say that help is on the way.

Agency spokesman David Heaton spoke with our news partners at KSL TV.  He reports that southwest health officials admit to technical problems with the signup process, long wait times on the computer, and quickly-taken appointment slots to receive the vaccine.

KSL TV reports the department is expecting an additional 3,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this coming week.  But fixing the online scheduling software will take a bit more time.

Watch KSL TV reporter Ladd Eagan’s report for the full story.
