SALT LAKE CITY — As the state speeds up its vaccine rollout, Salt Lake County opened appointment slots to Utahns who are 66 years old Sunday evening — just one day after the vaccine became available to those 67 and older. This comes after Gov. Spencer Cox announced the state would lower the eligibility age to 65 Thursday.
The Salt Lake County Health Department opened registration for COVID-19 vaccines for Utahns who are 66+ at 6 p.m. Sunday, paving the way for 65-year-old residents to register Monday.
Vaccinations are free of cost but require an appointment. You can find more information about scheduling an appointment here.
Locations may vary, but vaccines are available at some of the following pharmacies at their Salt Lake County locations:
Residents can schedule an appointment for their second vaccine dose when they arrive for their first dose.
