Greenhouse Quick Tip!

Now is a great time to improve your soil by incorporating compost into the soil with a spade or rototiller. Add two to three inches of compost, ideally a few weeks before you are ready to plant.  

However, it can be more difficult to work compost into flowerbeds with existing plants. It is fine to leaves a couple of inches on the soil surface instead. It takes longer to break down into the soil, but still does to the benefit if the soil.
