Cache County Sheriff’s dispatch center was told that the child was last seen on a battery-powered 4-wheeler. The 4-wheeler was found in the river behind the child’s home in Lewiston.

“Our initial investigation indicates this is a tragic accident,” said Lt. Mikelshan Bartschi, of the Cache County Sheriff’s office in a statement.

“We would like to remind the public to take this unfortunate event as a reminder to tell your kids you love them, give them an extra hug and kiss, and to always cherish the moment.”
