KSL NEWSRADIO’S PREVIOUS REPORTING

BYU police are looking for a man suspected of groping five separate students on campus.

They released this video to KSL Newsradio on Monday afternoon.

Officials said they have now received three additional reports after the initial report of two victims on Sunday.

Police now believe the suspect in question, attacked one woman on Saturday, and the other four on Sunday.

Of the reports on Sunday, police say one woman reported she had been assaulted at about 1:10 p.m. near Helaman Halls between the Cannon Center and Taylor Hall. Another two happened in the same location near Helaman Halls. Two other reports happened near 800 North on the south sidewalk next to the Life Sciences Building around 2:40 p.m.

Police have a photo of the suspect who is described as a white male between 25 and 40 with thinning or balding blonde hair between 5’9″ and 6′.

“If somebody saw him or was another victim, please call us,” University Police Lt. Jeff Long told KSL. “The more people we have calling in, the more we can zone in. We have cameras all over campus and we can get a timeline and know any other victims we might have.”

Officers are asking that anyone with any information reach out to the BYU Police Department at 801-422-2222. They have also issued a notice that students to travel with a companion when possible and immediately report any incidents or suspicious activity to BYU Police.
