SALT LAKE CITY — It’s the never-ending saga of shortages. Next on the list: beloved Chick-fil-A sauce. The chicken chain is limiting the amount of Chick-fil-A sauces per order due to an industry-wide shortage.
The new Chick-fil-A sauce ratio is as follows:
1 sauce per entree
2 sauces per meal
3 sauces per 30-count chicken nuggets
The company warned customers may not be able to receive some items on the menu, including sauces, due to the shortage, on Monday.
“Due to industrywide supply chain shortages, some items, like sauces, may be unavailable. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience,” Chick-fil-A said on its website.
People are already feeling the impact of the sauce shortage. Utah’s Morning News Associate Producer, Aimee Cobabe, confirmed the sauce shortage after she was flabbergasted to learn the restaurant only allotted two sauces of her choosing when picking up her meal.
“They [Chick-fil-A] only gave me two just now. TWO!!” wrote Cobabe to other KSL NewsRadio employees.
During these trying times, the last thing America needed was a limited supply of tasty dipping sauces… But we’ll have to say farewell to extra Chick-fil-A, Polynesian, and Sweet and Sour Sriracha sauce for now.
